MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Our Christmas Banquest was held at Famous Daves, a barbeque place. We enjoyed the food and fellowship and played some games. We ended with singing Christmas carols. Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Our first truckload sale was a lot of work but also a lot of fun!!

They were all in it together as the youth picked each others names out of a hat and then went garage sale shopping for clothes for their "pick" to wear to the Everblades Hockey Game that Friday evening. As everyone stared, they replied, "We lost the bet!!" And then the next Friday, they dressed to support one of their youth, Shane Owens #78 play in his football team. They had a great time and sooooooooooooooo much fun.. Enjoy!!

Morris Sons Memorial

If Morris struggled with anything, it was seeing hurting people and not being able to do anything about it. No, he was not able to help all of them, but those he did help serve as a memorial to his love for people, especially people who were hurting. Every time you help someone the way that Morris did, you give a little piece of yourself away. Many of you know what I am talking about because you are in possession of one of those pieces. Could it be could it be that this man had given all of himself away, and that it was now time for God to give him his reward?

BOOT CAMP AMERICA

Boot Camp America was a life changing experience for all of those who attended. We must get out of our comfort zone and bring them to Him. The harvest is plenty.....people need the Lord!

ICE AND ROLLER SKATING

The Y.A.C.H.T. Club went ice skating Friday Night and Saturday morning went roller skating with the Sunday School children. What a blast we had!!!

REPENT AND BE BAPTZED

Today, August 10, 2008, Judy Gilcrest and Judy Kilbin was baptized today in the precious name of Jesus. Continue to keep these ladies in your prayers!!

A MIRACLE REPORT

God is still in the miracle business!!! We all know the greatest miracle of all is when a soul is filled with the Holy Ghost, and that we see often - probably not often enough; but, He promised signs and wonders would follow those who believe. Often we stop at the Holy Ghost and at times believe God for "the basics" not the radical! But it is time we get on about the Masters business and allow Him to work in our own behalf and on behalf of His people! This happened today - "...for this kind comes only by prayer and fasting..."

There is a man, (Bro. Jesse), in our church in Texas who went blind from diabetes and other macular degeneration complications. He was using a blind walking stick when we arrived in January 2008, but, he could see shapes and some light. As the days passed his sight worsened, until darkness covered his vision completely. He is on dialysis three times a week and a few months back, lost his brother to heart problems. Bro. Jesse is just 40 years old.

As you may imagine, much prayer and fasting has gone forth for Bro. Jesse, and he always comes to church with a sweet, humble and grateful spirit. Thankful to be alive, he always stands and gives a word for Jesus thanking Him for everyday and everything in his life.

He stood to testify this morning with tears running down his face and this is what he said: "Have you ever talked to a dead man church?" Nobody responded and he said: "Well you are talking to one now. When I was five years old the doctors told me I was going to die and that I had to take these heart pills for the rest of my life, but when I was 13, I threw them down the toilet and told my mom that if God was really God then he would show me; and church he did, because I stand here today to testify to you." He went on and said: "Today, I entered my kitchen this morning and could see my stove, then when I got to church I looked at Sis. Bacon and I could see her face, and Sis. Ceaser I can see your face and your hair - I can even see the little ponytail in the back of your hair."

As you can imagine, I thought the house would come down! I nearly fell off the piano chair I was sitting in to shout for joy! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!! God is great and greatly to be praised!

He is still in the miracle working business in AMERICA.

"...signs and wonders shall follow those who believe..." and Bro. Jesse dared to believe God - How about you?

We had a car wash today to raise money for our upcoming Boot Camp America. Although it was HOT, and EXHAUSTING, we had a great time. Thanks to all you helped. You will be blessed!!

Calling All Heroes

This was our first Vacation Bible School and it was a great success. It was a lot of work, exhausting and fun all at the same time. We want to thank all who participated and all of YOU heroes who came. We thank Robert and Sonja Fritchey and their family for their time and efforts. God will surely bless them for their sacrifice. We had 4 receive the Holy Ghost and children who had never been to a church before. Thanks again everyone!!!!
